Frequently Asked Questions

  • What (and who) should I bring?

It’s a long day, so we recommend bringing drinks and snacks. Some clients prefer to bring lunch, but there are also a couple of cafes available on the Hollywood site. Please bring any items you typically need for completing paperwork and discussions, such as glasses and hearing aids. Copies of recent medical letters or reports can be helpful if they relate to the areas you wish to be assessed. We also ask that you bring copies of school reports, particularly from Year 4 to Year 8, as these years are especially formative. If you have someone who helps you feel more comfortable, feel free to bring them along. Additionally, if there’s someone, like a parent, who can share insights about your childhood and any developmental issues, their presence can be beneficial. For clients under 18, a parent or legal guardian must accompany them and remain onsite during the assessment.
  • What if I have more questions?

If you have any additional questions or concerns before your appointment, please don’t hesitate to reach out to our team. We are here to help and ensure you feel prepared for your visit. You can contact us via phone or email, and we will respond promptly.
  • Can I reschedule my appointment?

Yes, if you need to reschedule your appointment, please contact us as soon as possible. We understand that circumstances can change, and we will do our best to accommodate your needs. Please note that we require at least 24 hours' notice for rescheduling.
  • What should I expect during the assessment?

Our compassionate team will guide you through the process, ensuring you feel comfortable and supported. The assessment typically lasts several hours, and we will provide you with a personalized roadmap of recommendations based on the results.
